Widerrufsbelehrung (Right of withdrawal)
Last updated: 2026-08-30
This concerns purchases of credits and the Pro subscription by consumers (§ 13 BGB). These purchases are concluded with our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Ltd, Judd House, 18–29 Mora Street, London EC1V 8BT, United Kingdom. Paddle is the seller and the addressee for a withdrawal; Paddle also presents the applicable instruction and consent options during checkout. The account/platform contract with ortwort itself is free of charge, so no separate right of withdrawal attaches to it.
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from the purchase contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day the contract was concluded.
To exercise it, you must inform Paddle (contact details on your Paddle receipt / invoice, or via paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms) of your decision to withdraw by a clear statement (for example a letter or email). You may use the model form below, but it is not obligatory. Sending the notice before the deadline expires is sufficient to meet it. You may also contact us at info@ortwort.com and we will forward your request.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw, all payments received from you are reimbursed without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day the withdrawal notice is received, using the same means of payment you used for the transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise; you are not charged any fee for the reimbursement.
Early expiry of the right of withdrawal
For a contract for the supply of digital content not on a tangible medium (credits), the right of withdrawal expires if you have expressly consented to performance beginning before the end of the withdrawal period and have acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal (§ 356 Abs. 5 BGB). For a services contract (the subscription), if performance has begun at your express request, you owe a proportionate amount for the part already performed if you then withdraw (§ 357 Abs. 8 BGB).
As Merchant of Record, Paddle’s current checkout and buyer terms provide for this express consent to immediate delivery of digital content and the acknowledgement of the loss of the withdrawal right. Where that consent and its confirmation are not properly captured in a given transaction, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal continues to apply and is not treated as automatically waived.
